Sponsor – Kukuipuka ‘Ohana
The Kukuipuka ‘Ohana is a NGO 501c3, whose mission statement is “to establish an indigenous society, open to the public; to educate and foster a global awakening; to acknowledge the Divinity on and within the Planet, and to send out an internal call to take new action”.
Kukuipuka (doorway to the light) ‘Ohana (family) are individuals of diversity, caring for Kukuipuka Heiau, a sacred temple on Maui. Kukuipuka Heiau is continually loved by those who are dedicated to maluhia (peace), malama (care for) and aloha (love) her. It is a pu’uhonua, a place of refuge for all to heal.
Aloha in Action was birthed through Kukuipuka.
Kukuipuka Heiau is a pu’uhonua, a place of refuge on the island of Maui. It is a place where people come to ho’oponopono, make things right within themselves through prayer, meditations, protocols and sacred expressions of the oneness of life. Kukuipuka means, the doorway to the light. A portal that connects each one to the source of themselves as the light. For many years, the heiau, this temple, lay hidden and unattended, until it whispered in spirit to Lei’ohu Ryder, Maydeen ‘Iao and Akoni Akana who made prayers, offerings, protocols and blessings in reawakening and reconnecting to the sacred teachings of this temple of peace and healing. Kahu Lei’ohu Ryder and Maydeen ‘Iao are the caretakers, wisdom keepers and indigenous emissaries of Kukuipuka Heiau. They share the vision, experience and spirit of Kukuipuka. Many people from the community and the world come to pray, play, heal, share and embrace all spectrums of themselves at this place of peace.
